Engage Pickleball Paddle Reviews and Buyers Guide
EngagePickleball is a US-based manufacturer that claims it takes Pickleball paddles to the next level. They perform every step of the paddle manufacturing process here in the United States.
All the design, innovation and creativity is done internally by their engineers. Work with US-based suppliers to come up with new core components and processes. Take all this into their own manufacturing plant to design, engineer and build the leading edge paddles with their own in-house technicians.
Most paddle manufacturers outsource their paddles to OEM manufacturers overseas. Engage keeps everyting in-house to ensure the quality and workmanship in every paddle they make. With the proper ‘quality controls’ and procedures in place the end resultis technologically advanced paddles backed by industry leading warranty process and game changing customer service.
When Engage designs a paddle, it goes through a rigorous and thorough testing process to ensure it plays, lasts, and withstands the punishment. All Engage pickleball paddles comply with the USAPA guidelines and are listed and approved for sanctioned tournament play.
There is buyers paddle selection guide at the bottom of the post.
Engage Encore Series Paddle
Engage’s new ‘Thick Core’ paddle line up. The only ‘Thick Core’ paddles in the market with power and a large sweet spot.
Engage designed the Encore paddles with thicker cores have more control and a softer feel at the point of contact. But as cores get thicker, the power and size of the sweet spot diminishes. Engage, known for their paddle engineering and innovation, created ‘Core & Skin Dimensioning’ to fix that issue. Producing the only ‘Thick Core’ paddles with a large sweet spot and the right amount of power to put the ball away (while maintaining full control, balance and positioning). If you have to over-swing to put the ball away, you lose control and ability to recover for the next shot.
Within the Encore 6.0 line of paddles.
- The EX has the same dimensions as the Poach line of paddles (16″ x 8″), providing the EX with the perfect balance between reach, power and control. The EX (as with all the paddles in the Encore 6.0 line up) comes in five (5) great colors. Red, Green, Blue, Purple and Traditional.
The MX has the same dimensions as the Maverick paddle (16.5″ x 7.5″), providing the MX with additional reach, power and spin. The MX (as with all the paddles in the Encore 6.0 line up) comes in five (5) great colors. Red, Green, Blue, Purple and Traditional.
The Gigi LeMaster version has the same dimensions as the legacy Encore paddle (15.5″ x 8.125″), providing a wider paddle face and lower center of balance for increased maneuverability. The Encore 6.0 (as with all the paddles in the Encore 6.0 line up) comes in five (5) great colors. Red, Green, Blue, Purple and Traditional. Gigi LeMaster is one of the most well known senior pro players and instructors. Gigi has more pro level medals from the USAPA Nationals and other pro events than most other players.
More about the Encore Pro and Encore legacy below.
Encore Pro Pickleball Paddle
The NEW ‘Encore Pro’ Pickleball paddle provides players with advanced characteristics desired by the top nationally ranked players in the world. Optimized for the ultimate in control and power. A larger ‘sweet spot’ than the legacy ‘Encore’ and an enhanced feel when the ball makes contact allows players to have even more control over the ball.
The ‘Encore Pro’ maintains the ‘specialized skin’ of the legacy Encore that maximizes the allowed limits of ‘surface roughness’. However, ‘surface roughness’ is only ONE piece of the puzzle. Designing a paddle from the very beginning to have the ‘skin’ work in conjunction with the ‘core’ (harmonized) optimizing ‘POWER’, ‘CONTROL’ and ‘BALL PLACEMENT’ completes the puzzle.
The engineering of the Encore goes further, by maximizing the amount of time the ball stays on the paddle (a concept originally developed by EngagePickleball), enabling the soft feel you need to command the soft (net) game.
The Encore line of paddles have always been about ‘control’ and ‘ball placement’, and having the perfect paddle to do just that (what you want with the ball) whether you hit ‘hard’ or ‘soft’.

Engage Poach Icon Pickleball Paddle
The NEW Poach Icon is a paddle that will take you to new heights. Combining the technically advanced Core of the Poach Advantage with the proprietary ‘chemically bonded’ skin of the Elite Pro. Two of the top selling paddles in the market come together.
By placing the best selling Elite Pro skin on the Poach Advantage core, you get a paddle that is extremely soft and provides ultimate control with a firmer solid hitting surface with a huge sweet spot. Along with providing the roughest hitting surface of any paddle, which is a trademark of the proprietary ‘chemically-bonded’ skin of the Elite Pro.
The Poach Advantage is a very soft playing paddle. If you love the way it feels, but want a more solid / harder hitting surface and rough textured skin, the Poach Icon is for you. On the flip side. You love the Elite Pro but would like a softer feel providing even more control over the ball. The Poach Icon would be your paddle of choice.
The Poach Icon is the same size as both the Poach Advantage and the Elite Pro. 16 inches long by 8 inches wide with a 5 inch length grip. The new Poach Icon comes in (4) great colors plus the Corrine Signature color / design.

FROM THE MANUFACTURER
At EngagePickleball, we have a unique approach and incorporate innovation into every paddle we make. We use ‘Applied Physics’ on every paddle design to engineer and optimize the positioning of the ‘sweet spot’ in relation to your hand. We innovate and test different dimensions and material compositions on average every 7-10 days. No other Pickleball manufacturer tests the boundries and invests as much in ‘Research and Development’. What does that mean? It means producing paddles with the right balance of power, ball control and overall feel. Why do we do that? So you play the best Pickleball you can.
Prototypes (used before paddles go into production for the general public) are tested by beginner, intermediate, and professional Pickleball players. Feedback is taken and engineered back into the next version of the Prototypes. Once these Prototypes have gone through this extensive repeatable process for an extended period of time, are they then put into production, to be sold to the general public. This ensures the exceptional quality of our products and your playing enjoyment.
We also stand behind our commitment to excellence by offering a ‘no question asked’ 30-day money back guarantee, a ‘lifetime’ warranty against defects and a 5-year no ‘dead-spot’ guarantee.
Beyond our ‘vision’ of creating the best Pickleball paddles in the world, our ‘mission’ is to grow the sport. How do we do that? By giving back to the community. We give 5% of our total revenue to encouraging and growing the sport with the youth…by holding junior tournaments, fostering the sport in schools, and donating paddles to local communities.
